At the start of September I went for a short break At the start of September I went for a short break to Castlerock, on the trip up there it became clear that conditions would be perfect to capture a cloud inversion with pools of light pollution underneath the cloud. So as soon as I got to the accommodation I unpacked the car and headed up to the viewing point on Binevenagh mountain. As soon as I reached the viewing point I could see I was in for a treat. A little late with this post but this was the culm A little late with this post but this was the culmination of the week spent on the North coast just recently. I would've been a little happier if the sky was a little less textured, as I was going for the continuous backdrop effect - where the sea and the sky merge a little better than they do in this image, but as it's the first time I've managed to take a long exposure of the Portstewart side of the Barmouth, I'm really quite pleased with the final image. For three days I travelled to three different loca For three days I travelled to three different locations in search of a little colour in the sky, and came away with nothing (see previous posts). The one night I go out to a fourth location with the sole intention of capturing a photograph with a dull grey continuous backdrop, this happens. I swear you couldn't make this stuff up. I'm annoyed with myself that I’ve managed to som I'm annoyed with myself that I’ve managed to somehow miss all of the really good winter weather this year - either through work, other commitments or just simply not being in the mood for it - so here's something from a few years ago, when me and a friend (and a friend) went for a walk in the Mourne Mountains with our cameras. Personal project completed 😁 I've had my Nikon Personal project completed 😁 I've had my Nikon D3 DSLR for ten years now. Having just recently upgraded my camera I thought about compiling a visual archive representing the last ten years of my photographic journey. With this in mind, I've gone through my entire archive of images taken with this camera and picked the photographs that I like the most (not necessarily the most technically perfect images) and edited them with fresh eyes and then compiled them in chronological order into this single volume book. It took me a year to complete this project. I’ll start posting some of the images contained in the book shortly. I’m just really happy it’s finally complete. #BlurbBooks #Nikon #NikonD3 #D3at10
