Before my trip to Iceland in August, a friend (Nick Miners) contacted me and suggested I attempt to come away from the trip with enough good images that I can put together a 2015 calendar.
The challenge was accepted.
Below is a brief description of just some of the images included in the calendar.
The cover image is one that I found, so to speak. I was making my way from Dettifoss to Selfoss and I saw that someone had written in the sand – in Icelandic Iceland is written �sland.January is an aerial image of Sk�lholt church, which is Situated in the lower part of the Biskupstungur valley between the rivers Hv�t� and Br�ar�.February also features an image that was taken from the air, this time of the river Hvit�, in Southern Iceland.March features the geothermal area of Kerlingarfj�ll. This image was taken standing on the high mountain side on the far side of the valley.September features the wonderful Aldeyjarfoss, which is a basalt amphitheatre waterfall located in the Northern part of Iceland.December leaves us with a lovely sky reflecting the sunset taking place behind me as I captured the image.
