Images of Iceland : 2015 Calendar

Before my trip to Iceland in August, a friend (Nick Miners) contacted me and suggested I attempt to come away from the trip with enough good images that I can put together a 2015 calendar.
The challenge was accepted.

Below is a brief description of just some of the images included in the calendar.

The cover image is one that I found, so to speak. I was making my way from Dettifoss to Selfoss and I saw that someone had written in the sand – in Icelandic Iceland is written sland.

January is an aerial image of Sklholt church, which is Situated in the lower part of the Biskupstungur valley between the rivers Hvt and Brar.

February also features an image that was taken from the air, this time of the river Hvit, in Southern Iceland.

March features the geothermal area of Kerlingarfjll. This image was taken standing on the high mountain side on the far side of the valley.

September features the wonderful Aldeyjarfoss, which is a basalt amphitheatre waterfall located in the Northern part of Iceland.

December leaves us with a lovely sky reflecting the sunset taking place behind me as I captured the image.
